Let's Light the Sky!

Bryce Derosier has inspired many to be the change you want to see in the world. This celebration is for the Nice4Bryce Kindness Project, hosted by his family and MitoAction. We will highlight the hometown heroes in our community that have embraced the Kindness Project and Bryce's legacy.

There are Heroes among us and most of the time we don't even know it! They are neighbors, parents, co-workers, employees, grandparents, PTA members, baseball coaches, grocery store workers, teachers, firemen, friends - they live, work and play right in your hometown.

This event will be a night to remember - including cocktails, food, dancing, music by the Freeze Pops, auctions, and a special way of lighting up the sky for our hometown hero Bryce.

The Light the Sky Celebration will provide the funding to allow the Nice4Bryce Kindness Project and MitoAction to continue to provide support to families on their journey with mitochondrial disease, by wrapping our arms around them during hospital stays, delivering gift baskets, providing financial support and sharing the same kindness that Bryce inspired!

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Taunton Holiday Inn for guests. To reserve a room online, click here, or call (508) 823-0430 and give them code MCR.

Why Celebrate Our Hometown Heros?

In just 16 short months, Bryce touched the lives of thousands and taught us the importance of living each day to the fullest, but most importantly, the impact that even a simple act of kindness can have in one's life. This is one of the many lessons that we learned from our son. The Nice4Bryce Kindness Project is a shining light of love, support and hope for families facing mitochondrial disease all across the country.

While facing the most tragic time in our lives, complete strangers came forward to offer their love and support as they were inspired by our "Almighty Brycey's" story. We began to witness the community embracing not just our family, but one another by doing acts of kindness for each other in honor of our son. By doing so, they showed Bryce that his life had made a difference in theirs.

This 1st annual Light the Sky celebration will celebrate these acts of kindness and the difference and impact that a little boy who couldn't even speak words made on this world!

About the Nice4Bryce Kindness Project

"Almighty Brycey's" mom, Jamie Derosier, turned her pain into power by teaming up with MitoAction to start the Nice4Bryce Kindness Project in 2018. "We knew we wanted to create a program that would allow us to support others as so many had done for our family. Teaming up with MitoAction and having them house the Nice4Bryce Kindness Project is a true testament to the personalized and life-changing support MitoAction provides for families like mine," said Jamie.

As the Nice4Bryce Kindness Project continues to grow, we will be able to embrace other families with the sense of community and unconditional love that surrounded the Derosier family during their most difficult days.
